Joint Standard 2 of 2024: A private implementation dialogue for CISOs

15 May @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Africa’s financial sector stands at the threshold of a new era in operational resilience. With the release of Joint Standard 2 of 2024, CISOs are now at the forefront of shaping how institutions prepare for, respond to, and recover from ICT disruptions and cyber incidents.

This closed-door virtual roundtable brings together CISOs from Africa’s leading financial institutions for an off-the-record, Chatham House Rule discussion focused on the practical implementation of Joint Standard 2. No panels. No presentations. No AI. Just real-time intelligence sharing among peers facing similar challenges.

We’ll explore:

  • Interpreting key implementation obligations in a way that aligns with your current frameworks
  • Where the standard goes beyond existing expectations—and how to prioritise
  • How others are managing board reporting, resourcing, and inter-departmental collaboration
  • Lessons from global operational resilience standards—and what not to do

Seats are limited to 10 CISOs to ensure candour and clarity. Once capacity is reached, we will not be able to accommodate additional participants. No recordings will be made, and no media will be present.

This session is hosted by ITLawCo and facilitated by Nathan-Ross Adams, one of the continent’s leading voices on AI, cybersecurity governance, and regulatory compliance.

If you’re a CISO at a financial institution and would like to attend, email support@itlawco.com with the subject line “CISO JS2 2024”. In the body of the mail, provide a short bio and your answer to this riddle:
“I protect but do not fight,
I’m tested day and night.
I’m only as strong as the weakest part,
Yet I’m built with both science and art.
What am I?”
